No, but I know a trick for doing it with a propane flame’s heat. Hard to find acid core lead solder anymore. This will get fibreglass outside the seams and seam sealer on the inside. Then a fire hose of epoxy.

You know, dash-doorhandle-and-bondo, fu ckin’ A is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman.

You gotta chunk the tin,
step forward,
and finally slather it in lead.

One must never sand or grind lead, only file it, which is tedious and lead to cheating, which leads to lead dust. My garage is toxic enough as it is. I do know a few dirty lead tricks and once leaded all the way aro u nd the back of a truck cab. I’m out of practice with keeping it in a plastic state so I’d be making shiny puddles on the first few attempts. This car is the automotive equivalent of Terry Sawchuk. Can’t pretend the stitches aren’t there (Terry was a bare faced h ockey goalie)

Nice work, though are you sure you had a car originally?

Fiberglass rather then welding it in to prevent warp?

Just a thin skim over the weld to cover your ass incase there is a pin hole is present that doesn’t show light through. Fibreglass is waterproof and mud is not, so it prevents potential bubbles in the bodywork down the line.

This car was rusted out before I was born, so I cant swear to it.  But it will become a car one day. Made out of metal too.

Is the chop stand necessary rather then just the epoxy?

It’s certainly worth the spoonful of ‘ glass and the 10 extra minutes.  one patch is easier to keep track of than 97 patches.
